About Me
Hi! I'm Julian
As a Documentary Filmmaker and Cinematographer, my work is guided by a genuine curiosity for people’s stories, and a creative project-based use of visual-storytelling. Growing up in South Africa and later living and working across Europe has shaped how I see the world and the stories within it. Since directing and shooting my first short documentary, Against the Grain (2022), I have worked on feature documentaries, short films, branded stories and commercial productions. My style can be characterized as intentional, since I embrace every project's unique story and use it to govern the cinematography.
